Well, the basket is completely dry now. It seems to have shrivelled and fallen apart mostly! The kids still love it though because "Mama, made that!" so it gets filled with animals and carried about. I think it's destined for the compost pretty soon though!
Our deck has a significant amount of wisteria growing wild all over it. My husband suggested I try my hand at basket weaving to use the trimmings. I couldn't believe my ears that it was actually suggested that I pick up a new hobby! YES!!!!! I'll definitely try that. So here it is. My first attempt at basket weaving. Not too bad, but I'd never use wisteria again. It is incredibly weak. I'm anxious to see how it looks/works when the wood dries.
